ReValue – Compliant value recovery for end-of-life non-food products
Built on real-world experience in European retail
ReValue is not a theoretical concept. It is grounded in hands-on experience across European retail, working with high volumes, across strictly regulated markets, and conditions where mistakes carry real commercial risk.
As part of the Schwarz Group, we've spent years managing end-of-life consumer goods in an environment where trademark protection, compliance, and efficiency must be taken into account every day. That experience is now available to serve your business.
EU ban on the destruction of unsold goods
The regulation applies to textiles, clothing, accessories, and footwear, and serves as a blueprint for other consumer goods. It is based on the ESPR and will become legally binding from 19th of July 2026.
Together with the new EU Ecodesign Regulation and the national duty of care under Section 52a of the German Circular Economy Act (KrWG), this is a definitive move against the waste of valuable resources. Unsold goods and returns are not waste, but assets whose value must be retained and recovered.
What does this mean for your business?
The new legislation requires certain companies to handle products in a way that enables their later reuse.
A premature classification of goods as waste will no longer be acceptable. For clothing, fashion, accessories, and footwear, destruction is no longer a viable option. The focus now is on building processes that bring goods back into circulation.
From excess inventory to a controlled value stream
ReValue replaces the immediate disposal mindset with a structured approach to value recovery. We take over end-of-life consumer goods, assess their condition, and remarket them internationally outside your main markets and channels.
What was once overstock becomes a controlled value stream.
